How to Love Graphic Novellas by Actus Comics Exhibition catalogue

Publications

The Israeli Actus Comics group explores love in a troubled country. In “How to Love”, six comics interweave to create an impressive portrait of the urban and mainly secular Tel Aviv of our day: “Summer Story” by Batia Kolton, “L’elixir d’amour” by David Polonsky (known for his animation film “Waltz with Bahir”, 2008), “Independence Day” by Mira Friedmann, “Love Love Love” by Itzik Rennert, “Your Number One Fan” by Eisner Award winner Rutu Modan, and “8.00 to 10.00” by Yirmi Pinkus. The original edition of “How to Love” appeared in Tel Aviv in 2007. This reprint was published by the Christoph Merian Verlag to accompany the exhibition at the Cartoonmuseum Basel and includes an introduction in German and English by Anette Gehrig.
